Our team members include certified general appraisers and appraisal trainees who bring a fresh perspective to forest valuation. Our analysts and consultants rely on a deep understanding of natural resource dynamics and nuanced grasp of data models and analysis to effectively present thoughtful insights and solutions to decision-makers and investors.

John Goding
John is the vice president of Huber Resources Corp. and Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. His principal duties include client relations, business development, timberland dispositions and acquisitions, and general management of Huber Resources Corp. and Sewall Forestry Natural Resource Consulting. John is also responsible for providing oversight for Huber Engineered Woods LLC manufacturing operations, partnerships, and relationships in the northeast.
John has over 20 years of management experience throughout his tenure within multiple divisions of the Huber Company. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management from the University of Maine in 1995 and is also a Licensed Forester for the State of Maine.
John is also involved as a member of the Board of Directors for North Maine Woods.
Chris Washburn
Chris serves as the Director of Finance for Huber Resources Corp. and Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. Since joining Huber in 2002, he has leveraged his extensive financial expertise to support the company’s strategic initiatives, including budgeting, financial reporting, and investment analysis. Chris is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Prior to his tenure at Huber, Chris spent several years with a large regional accounting firm where he specialized in client financial audits.
He holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine. Chris also holds licenses as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Global Management Accountant and Notary Public.
Gerri Bosse
Gerri is the Director of Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, bringing a wealth of experience to her role. She oversees the operations of the SFNR team, ensuring effective project management and high-quality service delivery for clients. Gerri is a certified General Real Estate Appraiser in multiple states, and she is responsible for maintaining compliance with appraisal standards and industry regulations.
Her leadership focuses on fostering collaboration within the team and driving strategic initiatives that enhance Sewall’s commitment to effective natural resource management. Gerri has a strong background as both a procurement forester and a land management forester, which further enriches her contributions to the organization.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from the University of Maine, providing her with a solid foundation in the field.
Todd Bishop
Todd serves as the Technical Services Group Manager at Huber Resources Corp. and Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, bringing over 20 years of experience in technical services management to his role. He is responsible for overseeing GIS operations, managing forest inventory applications, and leading system development projects. Todd also plays a key role in forest management planning and market research, ensuring that our technical services align with industry standards and client needs.
Throughout his career, he has successfully applied his expertise to the commercial real estate sector by developing tools and practices that enhance the efficiency and capabilities of appraisal teams.
Todd holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Forestry from Michigan Technological University, underscoring his strong foundation in the field.
Tim Mack
Tim serves as a Forest Biometrician and Appraiser for Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, bringing over 28 years of experience in his field. In his role, he conducts biometric assessments, manages inventory data, and performs property valuations to support effective resource management. Since joining the team in 2021, he has leveraged his expertise to provide valuable insights in both biometric assessments and appraisals.
Tim holds Certified Appraisal Licenses in Minnesota, Michigan, and Wisconsin. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Forestry from the University of Minnesota, further enhancing his qualifications in natural resource management. His international specialty is teak, having cruised, appraised, or modeled it extensively throughout Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Brazil.
Lance Case
Lance serves as the Senior GIS Specialist within our Technical Services group, bringing over 20 years of dedicated experience to his role. He is responsible for managing GIS data, conducting spatial analyses, and developing mapping solutions that support forestry operations and decision-making. In addition to his GIS responsibilities, he has also contributed as IT support, showcasing his versatility within the organization.
Lance graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Ecosystem Science, with an emphasis in GIS and Remote Sensing. During his studies, he gained hands-on experience as a forest technician on two research programs: the Cooperative Forest Research and the Forest Ecosystem Research Program. He also holds a Post-Baccalaureate certificate in GIS from Penn State World Campus, further enhancing his expertise in the field.
Josh O’Neill
Josh is a Natural Resource Consultant in our Technical Services group, where he applies his broad expertise to enhance the value of our services. His consulting work focuses on developing a deep understanding of forest information systems, using GIS and remote sensing technologies to create intelligent decision-support tools. He collaborates with diverse third-party service providers and crafts data-driven solutions tailored to client needs. Josh also manages Sewall Forestry’s proprietary Forestland Owners and Managers database, ensuring it remains a reliable resource for industry stakeholders.
Before joining our team, Josh served as a program assistant at Harvard University, where he managed complex relational databases in the Energy and Facilities sector. He has also taught lab courses on natural resource sampling and forest economics at UC Berkeley, leveraging research that now informs his innovative work as a consultant.
Josh earned his Master of Forestry from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2014, specializing in GIS and Remote Sensing. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry, with a minor in GIS, from the University of Vermont. As a Licensed Professional Forester, Josh is committed to creating strategic insights for forest investment and management decisions
Peter D’Anieri
Peter serves as a Natural Resource Consultant for Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, where his role encompasses economic and investment research. He has successfully led projects that assess the allocations of large timberland holdings for equity and has benchmarked property management responsibilities and costs. Additionally, Peter is frequently sought for his expertise in litigation projects.
Before joining Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, he gained valuable experience in presenting investment opportunities, recommending portfolio placements, summarizing operating budgets, and conducting portfolio reviews. His background also includes forestry research, where he co-authored several technical reports and papers published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Peter has served on a firm’s investment committee, reviewing and approving farmland and timberland transactions across diverse regions, including the U.S. South and West, Canada, the U.S. Northeast, Australia, New Zealand, and Brazil. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence.
He earned his Master of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in Forestry with an emphasis in Silviculture from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Wildlife Management from the University of Maine, graduating with High Distinction and Highest Honors.
Glenn Ireland
Glenn is a Natural Resource Analyst at Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. In his role, he is responsible for conducting data analysis, managing forest inventory projects, and supporting geospatial assessments. Before joining the team, he spent three years as a Forester and GIS Specialist in Central Tennessee, where he gained valuable field experience.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources from Sewanee: The University of the South in 2018 and went on to obtain his Master’s in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia in 2022. Glenn’s educational background and hands-on experience significantly enhance his contributions to our natural resource initiatives.
Steve Kimble
Steve is an Appraiser at Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting, bringing over ten years of appraisal experience to his role. He is responsible for conducting thorough property assessments, analyzing market trends, and preparing detailed appraisal reports. His expertise includes valuing timberland, conservation easements, and various property types, ensuring accurate and fair evaluations.
Steven graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he majored in Geography and Cartography. He holds certifications as a General Appraiser in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota, reflecting his commitment to maintaining high standards in his professional practice.
Nick Gorske
Nick is a GIS Specialist within the Technical Services Group at Huber Resources Corp. and Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. He brings valuable experience to his role, having previously worked as an Assistant Operations Forester. In his current position, Nick is responsible for creating and managing GIS data, conducting spatial analysis, and developing mapping solutions that support forestry operations and decision-making.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry from Michigan Tech in 2020 and went on to complete his Master of GIS in 2021. His strong educational background and hands-on experience enhance his contributions to our technical services and forestry initiatives.
Bryce Bishop
Bryce is an Appraiser at Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. In his role, he conducts property valuations, analyzes market data, and prepares comprehensive appraisal reports. Prior to becoming an Appraiser, Bryce gained valuable experience as an appraisal assistant, where he supported the appraisal team in research and data collection.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Economics, equipping him with a strong analytical foundation that enhances his contributions to property assessments and evaluations.
Brian Ronquist
Brian is an Assistant Appraiser at Sewall Forestry & Natural Resource Consulting. He specializes in property valuation and appraisal processes. He assists with conducting property inspections, analyzes market data, and prepares detailed appraisal reports. Previously, Brian served as a staff forester with Compass Land Consultants for five years, managing projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, and spent a year as an operations forester at Huber.
With a B.S. in Environmental Studies and a minor in Geology from the University of Michigan, Brian combines academic knowledge with practical experience in land management. He is committed to sustainable practices and responsible stewardship of land resources.
